There is no general public parking inside the gates on the Fairgrounds during the Festival. All parking is located off Trinity Rd. There will be a free shuttle from Carter-Finley Stadium to Gate 9 during the peak hours of 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Saturday and Noon - 7 p.m. on Sunday.

FAQs

Is everything free at the Got to Be NC Festival?
You can enjoy a full day of family fun without spending a dime at the Got to Be NC Festival. However, some of the events and activities cost money or require a special admission. They are:

  • Carnival Rides and Games
  • Food from Independent Vendors - find a list of vendors here
  • Food Lion Local Goodness Marketplace (Local food, wine & beer vendors) - $3 adult admission
  • Pony Rides
  • State Fair Flyer - $5 one-way and $8 round-trip
  • Masonic Carolina Pig Jig - $15 adults (11 and up), $5 ages 7-10, 6 and under are FREE

Where is the Red Cross located?
The Red Cross is located in the Jim Graham Building.

What if I become separated from my party?
Please go to the front desk of the Exposition Building to have your party paged.

What if I need a wheel chair or stroller?
Wheel chairs, power scooters and strollers can be rented in the handicap parking lot by the Scott Building. For pricing and reservation information, please click through to Mobility Concepts.

Can I bring my dog?
No pets allowed. However, certified service dogs are permitted.

What other activities are going on at the fairgrounds during the Got to Be NC Festival?
The N.C. State Fairgrounds hosts countless special events during the year. In addition to the Got to Be NC Festival, the fairgrounds is also hosting the following events the weekend of May 17-19: Adidas Warehouse Clearance Sale, Buckhead Betties Outlet Sale, Chatlee Marine Boat Show and Sale, Independent Labrador Specialty Dog Show, Spa Blowout Clearance Sale, Wake County 4-H Horse Show, and North Central District 4-H Horse Show.
